Waterplug-Quick Set Hydraulic Waterstopping Mortar

Chemilink™ SS-234 is a ready-to-use and chloride free hydraulic mortar in powder form. When mixed with water to form a powerful fast setting permanent waterplug, it tenaciously seals off active water in few minutes. It is an ideal and easy-to-use high-tech material for instant stopping of water leakage through concrete and masonry.

Application Procedure

Surface Preparation

Areas to be plugged must be free from any loose concrete and laitance. Chipping is required at the place required to be plugged in order to obtain an opening with clear edges.

Mixing

Wearing rubber polyethylene gloves and mix Chemilink™ SS-234 with clear water in the ratio of 4:1 (powder to water) for 15 seconds. Continue working into a shape suitable for application for a further 15 seconds.

Placing

Hold the mixed Chemilink™ SS-234 in one hand until product starts to slightly stiffen or when hand feels heat generated, and then press it firmly into the hole and crack. Maintain pressure on the area for approximately 3 minutes until the product hardens. Shave off excess material immediately.

Coverage : 1.7kg to plug up a volume of 1 litre

Shelf Life : 6 to 12 months from date of manufacture when stored sealed in a cool and dry place

Precautions

The applicable temperature is from 5°C to 35°C. Avoid contact with eye and skin for prolonged periods. Wash thoroughly after handling. In case of eye contact, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and consult physician immediately.
