Chemilink™ SS-257
Single Component Cementitious Crystallization Waterproofing Slurry
Chemilink™ SS-257 is a single cementitious crystallization waterproofing slurry based on crystallization formation throughout the pores and capillary tracts of concrete to withstand strong hydrostatic pressure. The material gives a strong and lasting rigid waterproofing system against dampness ground water and hydrostatic pressure.
Uses
For application to interior and exterior below grade surfaces, against concrete decay and waterborne corrosive salts, for application in negative waterproofing and horizontal structural slabs against hydrostatic pressure.

Application
- Make sure the substrate must be clean and free from laitance, oils, grease, curing agents or other foreign matters.
- Fill all voids, cracks, fillet edges and angles with Chemilink™ SS-241 so that the prepared surface is sound, even and clean.
- Chemilink™ SS-257 must be applied to the damp substrate. Pre-wet until damp prior to application of Chemilink™ SS-257.
- Mix with up to 10 litres clean water to 25kg Chemilink™ SS-257. Always mix the powder to the clean water and using a mechanical stirrer mix for 2-3 minutes until a smooth lump free consistency is achieved.
- Apply in 2 coats in a perpendicular direction using block brush or roller. The 2nd coat must be applied while the 1st coat is still green but sufficiently set so that it is not drawn off while applying the 2nd coat.
- The mixed material must not be applied at temperature below 5°C or on frozen surface, at no instance should the total thickness exceed 5mm in a single application.
Protection
Protection of Chemilink™ SS-257 is not obligatory/ however if used on external areas, subject to rain, harsh sunlight or frost, the finished application should be protected for at least 24 hours.

Shelf Life
Shelf life of 12 months stored in unopened bag in a cool dry elevated place. Apply at the rate of 2 - 4kg/m² depending on the area of application.
Health and Safety
Chemilink™ SS-257 is a cement based product and contains alkali which may cause dermatitis, we recommend that PVC or similar gloves and safety goggles should be worn during handling.
